Michelle Evans-Cornish is the CEO and co-founder of The Linda School.Com, LLC. Our motto is to excite, motivate, and engage students to enjoy and attend school. The Linda School provides educational support services. She has taught for over 22 years. Michelle was a Lead Teacher, Chairperson of the School Leadership Team, provided teacher training scoring standardized exams and students achievement.. She planned and developed thematic lessons with her cohort.
Michelle earned her dual Master's Degree in General and Special Education at Touro College. Michelle and her team applied and were approved for a UPK program. She ran a well-loved preschool program full of discovery, learning a different language and so much more. She was the director of The Linda School’s highly effective after school program with enrichment activities including cooking, coding, STEM and homework assistance. Michelle, also led The Linda School’s successful summer program which had fun, educational field trips, STEM and sports activities. Parent engagement workshops happened monthly. We had student workshops like a build a bear workshop, Social Emotional Workshops and created skits. At the end of the, parents were celebrated at a barbeque sponsored and held by The Linda School.
Michelle started The Linda School agency that works with NYC DOE to place highly qualified special education teachers in schools located within the five boroughs of NYC. Michelle is a Special Education Teacher Support Services provider, otherwise known as SETSS. Michelle and her team help schools stay in compliance with Special Education guidelines, disseminate important information, train teachers and use researched based programs to improve students’ achievement and close the learning gap. Michelle and her team works closely to plan and discuss innovative ways to meet the needs of the child. She hosted a “Meet The Author” event at various schools in NYC (public and private) and collaborated with PETA to ensure the program ran smoothly, provided outreach to schools, delivered books, reserved parking for author and food truck, scheduled the dates and times, connected schools to an organization to get free and valuable educational resources. Michelle, also has collaborated with PETA to provide early childhood classes, an opportunity to have STEM activities with ‘Ellie” the robotic elephant, and middle school/high schools students will have access to the syn frog and a comprehensive online dissection program.
Michelle coordinated, participated and supervised successful hands-on STEM programs and students workshops in NYC schools to over 300 students in three schools.
De Forest Cornish, Doctoral Candidate, is the COO and the co-founder of The Linda School.Com, LLC. NYC Department of Education dual certified special & general education teacher. Wilson and REWARDS trained for reading challenges. Taught all grades from: Pre-K to 12th grade (special and general education classes). Committee on Special Education (CSE), Bronx as an evaluator of private, parochial (Yeshivas), and non-public schools. Assistant Principal (Student Services: IESP students and English Language Learners) at a Bronx Charter High School. Adjunct Professor at the COLLEGE OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT: Implemented school’s first Teaching Fellowship and taught an advanced graduate class in Special Education along with teaching and mentoring graduate students in the classroom of a Bronx high school. Currently, The Linda School, LLC (partnership) Education Consultant to private, charter, and parochial schools. SETSS provider. Train and support staff. Enrolled at Liberty University for a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (second year). Helped high school students in the Bronx learn coding, and raise the graduation rate.
